ବୁଝି ବୁଝେନା କାମନା ବାରିରେ
ମୃଗତୃଷ୍ନା ଶାନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ
ହେ ବାସୁଦେବ ହେ ବାସୁଦେବ
ତୁମ ବିନା ମୁକ୍ତି କାହିଁ
ହେ ଗୁରୁଦେବ ହେ ଗୁରୁଦେବ

At first, I saw life in black and white, but
Now I see in color with Mohanji rose-tinted glasses.
I bow at his feet, but he’s nonchalant, and his still small voice
Speaks to my heart something like I am worthy too.
Is it flattery or real, I contemplate on the mystery.
–
I came crawling and groveling, but Guruji told me to stand tall
In the light, bliss, and love of God as a birthright.

Oh, I thought I was a broken vessel, foul in my miseries
With eons of trespasses, unfit to bathe in the radiance, of
Your love O Mohanji, but your kind words wrapped me like
A warm cloak in the dead of winter, leaving me speechless.
–
Wondering where to find love I came knocking, but Mohanji points
To my heart, intimating I seek it there. I then realize that
Love is with me already and needn’t be chased as my fabric is love.

How can I have all but know not, I ponder at the paradox?
O perception and realization, where are you to help, as
Mohanji keeps directing me to myself with every breath?

I thought I’ll go on a long outer adventurous journey with Guruji, but
Now I know I’ll use the worthiness instilled by him to explore myself.

My first glance of this man in white
As I opened my eyes from my inner stillness
Gentle and elegant, with a calm poise
He acknowledged all with a beautiful smile.

Here was a man, humble and unassuming
An instant liking, a feeling of comfort
His presence warmed my heart
I realised, I had a friend for life.
—
The conversations began, of things mundane
To deep sharing of things that bothered
The respect grew and basking in the love
I knew this connection was beyond time.
—
With time, I knew there was more
To this friend behind the loving smile
The banter turned to devotion
He was my guiding light, my eternal master.
—
He mirrored my thoughts, he mirrored my actions
He remained poised, he remained still
Unaffected by the tantrums I threw
Giving his all, with kindness and with love.
—
Oh! How privileged am I?
With faith and trust, I surrender to him
A living master who does his job
With no expectation and with love for all!
—
Am I really worthy of this love?
The benefits are countless
What can I do but bow my head
With gratitude, love and deep surrender.
—
The connection deepened and I saw
In the deep recesses of my heart
Shining bright, inside and outside
the recognition; I am you and You are I!
