Na Mein Kaushalya

poem_Na mein Kaushalya_subha

O Mere Ram, O Mere Mohan!

(Poem in Hindi)

English Translation
Na mein Kaushalya, na Devaki na Yasoda Maiyaa, Neither Kaushalya nor Devaki nor am I mother Yasoda
Kya jaanu mein tujhko dena, mamta ki chhaiya What do I know about giving you the motherly affection
O mere Ram, O mere Mohan. ||1|| Oh my Ram, Oh my Mohan ||1||

Na mein Sita, na Rukmini ya Radha, Neither Sita, nor Rukmini, nor Radha
Na hi mein gopi na mein Meera Nor am I Gopi nor Meera
Kaise bandhu mein tere prem ki yog mein, How can I be merged in Love with You
O mere Ram, O mere Mohan. ||2|| Oh my Ram, Oh my Mohan ||2||

Na mein Sugriv, na Arjun na hi mein sakhi Draupadi, Neither am I Sugriv, nor Arjun, nor am I Draupadi,
Kaise banun mein sathi tere dosti ki, How can I be the symbol of your friendship
O mere Ram, O mere Mohan. ||3|| Oh my Ram, Oh my Mohan ||3||

Mein toh bas teri daasi, janmon se, I am just a slave, from lifetimes
Jaanu mein bas ek hi kaam, Only one thing that I know
Din raat bas karti rahun tere hi seva To serve you eternally
Rahun banke bas dhul mein tere charnon ki To remain as the naïve dust of your feet
O Mere Ram, O mere Mohan.||4|| Oh my Ram, Oh my Mohan ||4||

Nazar main rahe tu mere aur mere zuban pe rahe tera naam, My eyes only sees you, my mouth only takes your name
Din mera shuru ho tere hi naam se, aur ant bhi ho  tere hi smaran se. My day begins with chanting your name and ends in your consciousness
O mere Maalik, Oh my Lord,
Bas yehi ek binati kare yeh daasi, This is the only prayer of your slave
lagake apne maatha tere charan To remain at your feet
Kar dun mein arpan apna jeevan, I surrender my life and my existence to You
O mere Ram, O Mere Mohan. ||5|| Oh my Ram, Oh my Mohan ||5||
